Generalsoft Ltd, trading as SMART Systems is founded by Charles Kovacik and Adrian Wing in Ascot, United Kingdom.  The motivation for developing SMART stemmed from the realisation that numerous kitchen, bedroom, bathroom companies relied heavily on time-consuming spreadsheets to manage their day-to-day business operations. With this in mind, we set out to create a comprehensive system that would enable users to handle CRM, pricing, quote generation, confirmations, warehousing, dispatching, credit control, invoicing, remedial tracking, job costing, installation scheduling, and business intelligence, all while offering customization options tailored to each individual company. 

KBBSmart is the first product launched.

KBBSmart served as an all-in-one solution that streamlined various aspects of kitchen business operations. It facilitated CRM, pricing, generating quotations, confirmations, warehousing, dispatching, credit control, invoicing, remedial tracking, job costing, installation scheduling, and business intelligence. Additionally, the system allowed for customisation to cater to the unique needs of each individual company. By automating and integrating these processes, KBBSmart significantly improved the efficiency and productivity of kitchen businesses.

KBBConnect, online quoting, ordering & project management software is launched to help retailers price their design and manage their business with ease. 

Focusing on presenting the importance of online access, and not requiring any installation, KBBConnect is the first Kitchen, Bathroom and Bedroom pricing system developed in the world. 

KBBLink, secure online portal for kbb suppliers to manage and distribute pricelists is launched. The online system was developed to ensure that kbb suppliers could update their pricelists centrally, seamlessly and accurately - saving time and maximising profits.

Smart Systems becomes part of the ArtiCAD Group. In February 2016, leading IT solutions provider, SHD AG, purchased the majority shareholding in ArtiCAD Holdings Ltd.

KBBConnect relocates to ArtiCAD HQ in Watford, Hertfordshire - the move promoted even closer collaboration between the two companies to enhance the already established and ongoing integration.

The mobile version of KBBConnect is launched to make it even easier for customers to access, anywhere at anytime.

KBBConnect celebrates its 20th anniversary

Live pricing is launched and CRM+ powered by KBBConnect, is now available within ArtiCAD's design software.
